The village is about 28 km away from Budgam Town and 32 km from Srinagar and is mostly inhabited by tribal people. There are various spots like Hajen, Mechkhanian, Duplkhal,Frestnag, in the village which are beautiful picturesque places and can be developed as tourist attractions. The place has good potential for trekking to Yousmarg, and Doodhpathri. The cuisine like Kalhari (milk Bread), Maize bread etc be a good attraction to tourist.
